My name is Dulce Matuz and I am DREAMer.
I was born in Hermosillo Sonora Mexico, but at the age of 15, I immigrated to the USA, now I am 38 years old. I have been practicing real Estate since 2005 but in 2011 my license was not renewed due to my immigration status.
Now I am an entrepreneur and owner of American Traditions Realty, LLC. I also graduated from ASU with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. I am a Falcon Robotics alumni for Carl Hayden High School and I am co-founder and member of the Arizona DREAM Act Coalition.
I was recognized in 2012 as one of the 100 world's most influential people by

1984
Dulce Matuz is born in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico.
2000
At the age of 15, Dulce immigrated to the USA.
2009
Dulce Matuz graduates from Arizona State University with a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
Dulce, along with other undocumented students, co-founds the Arizona Dream Act Coalition (ADAC) to advocate for immigrant rights and education.
2010
Dulce participates in an act of nonviolent civil disobedience with DREAMers across the U.S. in strategic locations in Washington D.C., leading to her arrest in Senator John McCain's office
2012
Dulce is recognized by TIME Magazine as one of the 100 Most Influential People in the World.
The Arizona Dream Act Coalition becomes a plaintiff in a lawsuit challenging Governor Jan Brewer's executive order, making it illegal for DACA recipients to obtain driver's licenses.
2014
Dulce established the American Traditions Realty, LLC.
2016
After a 16-year journey, Dulce Matuz becomes a citizen of the United States.
Present
Dulce becomes a successful entrepreneur as the owner of American Traditions Realty, LLC. She actively supports her community by partnering with local organizations, promoting voter registration, and guiding homebuyers on avoiding predatory lending.
